Feels like Home with Pink Paislee This Week!

Hello, hello!  It is Malika here today and I am excited to share with you a layout using products from two fantastic companies!  Pink Paislee and Epiphany Crafts!

It was awesome working with this artsy line by Pink Paislee.  And a little Epiphany Crafts embellishment finished this layout off perfectly.  Take a look:

I really loved these bright colors in the patterned paper… A great summer time palette.   I kept my  layout design simple because the patterned paper had great designs.

The layout started with some ink drops and rub on for the first layer, then colorful papers on top.  The border at the bottom of the page was made with one strip of patterned paper with some of the coffee filter paper tucked in behind.   Leaving it not all the way adhered down helps show some dimension.

Putting the Epiphany Crafts epoxy heart on at the end was like adding the cherry on top of an ice cream sundae.  It finished off my layout nicely.  Sometimes using a minimal amount of embellishments really helps the few that are used stand out.

I loved working with pieces of the Hope Chest and Luxe lines by Pink Paislee. They inspired me to create a layout with a photo from my childhood – my first birthday, to be exact.

To compliment the color of my mother’s blouse, I used Pink Paislee’s artisan ribbons and my Epiphany Crafts round tool to create some flower accents.

First, I colored, the ribbons with mist. Once dry, I pinched the ribbons onto large glue dots to create each flower shape. Next, I made epoxies with my round tool and more Hope Chest paper to create little flower centers. I love the contrast of the papers on the ribbons.
